Job Summary

Kforce is seeking a Product Quality Engineer II in Deerfield, IL. This role involves utilizing DMAIC tools for non-conformance investigations and CAPA activities. The engineer will apply product development/process knowledge to solve problems, support change controls, new product development, and product testing. Key responsibilities include complaint handling, trend analysis, data analysis, and facilitating small project teams. The position requires a minimum of 3 years of engineering experience and a strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and engineering principles.

Must Have

  • Utilize DMAIC tools to investigate non-conformances and participate in CAPA activities.
  • Apply engineering product development/process knowledge (e.g., FMEA, Finite Element Analysis, Process Modeling, Design of Experiments, Molding, SPC).
  • Perform standard engineering assignments to support change controls and new product development.
  • Support product testing to ensure product conformance to specifications.
  • Understand principles of complaint handling process and support complaint investigations.
  • Conduct complaint trend analysis and analyze data from various sources.
  • Facilitate small project teams to accomplish team objectives.
  • Support Quality internal and external audits.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related engineering environment.
  • Basic understanding of Quality Management System.
  • Technical understanding of engineering and product development principles and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of change controls and risk management principles.
  • Ability to organize and present technical information with minimal assistance.

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Product Quality Engineer II in Deerfield, IL. Responsibilities:

  • Product Quality Engineer II will utilize DMAIC tools to investigate non-conformances and participate in (CAPA)-related activities, including CAPA ownership as required
  • Utilizes engineering product development/process knowledge to solve straight forward problems (e.g., FMEA, Finite Element Analysis, Process Modeling, Design of Experiments, Molding, SPC)
  • Performs standard engineering assignments to support change controls, new product development, and assists cross-functional teams in identification of risks
  • Supports product testing to ensure product conformance to specifications; Understands principles of complaint handling process and supports complaint investigations
  • As a Product Quality Engineer II, you will conduct complaint trend analysis and analyze data from various sources (Non-Conformances, Field -Corrective Actions, and Complaints) to drive decisions
  • Facilitates small project teams as needed to accomplish team objectives
  • Supports Quality internal and external audits as required

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related environment
  • Experience in working with cross- functional teams, including technical and non-technical work
  • Display basic understanding of Quality Management System
  • Display a technical understanding of engineering and product development principles and procedures
  • Display basic understanding of change controls and risk management principles
  • Familiarity with Minitab, Power BI desired
  • Ability to organize and present technical information with minimal assistance

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
