Job Summary
X-FLOW is seeking an experienced Project Manager for their Backend team to coordinate and manage complex technical projects for Happy Color, a popular digital coloring book. The role involves defining tasks, planning workloads, coordinating work streams, facilitating meetings, overseeing releases, and maintaining documentation. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of PM experience, strong communication and leadership skills, and an understanding of backend technical context like microservices and APIs, while being adaptable to constant change.
Must Have
- Act as the central coordination point for the backend team.
- Define and break down tasks into actionable items.
- Plan workloads based on realistic capacity and priorities.
- Coordinate parallel work streams and ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Organize and facilitate meetings (efficiently and purpose-driven).
- Oversee the preparation and release of new versions.
- Provide quick answers to the team’s operational questions.
- Maintain Jira and documentation in excellent condition.
- Manage shifting priorities without losing control or clarity.
- 5+ years of experience as a PM / Project Manager / Delivery Manager in complex technical teams.
- Formal education in management or solid theoretical knowledge (PMBOK, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Broad practical exposure: ability to handle non-standard cases and adapt different practices as needed.
- Comfortable working in conditions of uncertainty and constant change.
- Strong communication skills and a leadership mindset.
- Russian - С1/higher, English - B1+.
- Understanding of the backend technical context: microservices, APIs, releases, dependencies, queues, SLAs.
- Ability to think for yourself, not mindlessly follow a template.
- Know how to navigate between rules, people, and real-world constraints.
- Maintain order without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Value team success over formal process for process’s sake.

- Who can be quickly brought in to help?
- What is currently at risk?
- Maintain Jira and documentation in excellent condition.
- Manage shifting priorities without losing control or clarity.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a PM / Project Manager / Delivery Manager in complex technical teams.
- Formal education in management or solid theoretical knowledge (PMBOK, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Broad practical exposure: ability to handle non-standard cases and adapt different practices as needed.
- Comfortable working in conditions of uncertainty and constant change.
- Strong communication skills and a leadership mindset.
- Russian - С1/higher, English - B1+.
Relevant experience:
- Understanding of the backend technical context: microservices, APIs, releases, dependencies, queues, SLAs
- Not at the code level, but enough to have meaningful, informed conversations with engineers.
- Able to speak the same language as the team and clearly understand the topics under discussion.
