Radar Infrastructure Technical Expert - Field Coordinator & Civil Engineering Expert F.H

This role at Thales, a global high-tech leader, is for a Radar Infrastructure Technical Expert, Field Coordinator, and Civil Engineering Expert based in Limours, France. You will integrate into the Surface Radar Business Line, working on client sites in metropolitan France. Key responsibilities include planning and managing activities from civil engineering completion to equipment installation, coordinating with project management, managing site relations, organizing equipment arrival, supervising subcontractors, and reporting project progress. The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree (Bac+5 equivalent) and possesses recognized expertise in radar infrastructure, with strong field coordination and civil engineering skills, along with organizational rigor and good interpersonal skills.

Must Have

• Plan and manage activities from civil engineering to equipment installation.

Your daily life

Located 20 minutes from the Paris-Saclay technology hub, the site is one of the largest centers of excellence for surface radars. We contribute to developing, designing, integrating, and testing air surveillance radars dedicated to target detection and identification.

You will join the Surface Radar Business Line, working on client sites in metropolitan France as an activity coordinator and civil engineering expert. Your main missions will be:

• Plan and manage activities, from civil engineering completion to reception and installation of Thales equipment.
• Coordinate operations with the project management (MOE) and contribute to the preparation of prevention plans.
• Manage the relationship with the air base in charge of the site (logistics, access, administrative procedures).
• Organize the arrival and deployment of various Thales equipment.
• Lead and supervise subcontractors working on site.
• Ensure regular reporting to the project and alert in case of risks or deviations.
• Participate in on-site radar installation and IVV activities.

Your profile

• You are a recognized technical expert in infrastructures dedicated to radar systems, with dual expertise:
• Field coordination: you ensure the essential link between project teams, subcontractors, and the client, guaranteeing the smooth running and success of on-site operations (construction sites, installation, and radar IVV).
• Civil engineering expertise: you actively participate in the study phase, provide support during general contractor consultations, and monitor the progress of works until final acceptance and the lifting of reservations.
