Job Summary
New Relic is strengthening its Inside Sales team (SDR) to meet growing demand for its solutions and drive new customer engagement. New Relic SDRs play a crucial role in creating the company-wide sales funnel. As customers are often new to New Relic, SDRs must impress them with the company and services, qualify leads, and identify appropriate next steps. They will discover and address customer challenges, thereby building a pipeline to support the sales department. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to New Relic's mid-to-long-term sales strategy in a growing market and impact Japan's digital business landscape.
Must Have
- Over 1 year of inside sales experience
- Skills in both outbound and inbound calls
- Ability to actively develop persona-aware messages and provide feedback to the team
- Self-starter capable of managing high transaction volumes independently
- Experience using internal sales efficiency SaaS tools (CRM, email distribution tools, etc.)
- Native Japanese speaker
- Eligible to work in Japan (visa support not available)
Good to Have
- Over 1 year of inside sales experience at a foreign SaaS company
- Salesforce user experience

New Relic SDRs play a crucial role in creating the company-wide sales funnel. As customers are often new to New Relic, SDRs must impress them with the company and services, qualify leads, and identify appropriate next steps. They will discover and address customer challenges, thereby building a pipeline to support the sales department.
We are looking for candidates who have excelled in team sales activities and are strongly interested in career advancement in inside sales or sales roles.
The SDR we are recruiting will be responsible for our mid-to-long-term sales strategy in a growing market, with the opportunity to impact Japan's digital business market.
What you'll do
- Pipeline creation (utilizing all channels and mechanisms)
- Industry, account, and key person analysis
- Organization of marketing lead information
- Planning approach with sales
- Execution of outbound calls and appointment setting
- Nurturing prospective customers
This role requires
- Over 1 year of inside sales experience; over 1 year of inside sales experience at a foreign SaaS company is desirable.
- Skills in both outbound and inbound calls
- Ability to actively develop persona-aware messages and provide feedback to the team
- Self-starter capable of managing high transaction volumes independently
- Experience using internal sales efficiency SaaS tools (CRM, email distribution tools, etc.). Salesforce user welcome.
