Security Engineer

Plan A Technologies is seeking a dedicated Security Engineer to lead Phase 2 of their ThreatLocker rollout. The role involves effectively removing local administrator access across 7,000 devices without disrupting business operations. Key responsibilities include creating and refining Allow-listing and Ringfencing policies, reviewing software requests and investigating them in CrowdStrike Sandbox, managing rollouts through Intune and Azure RBAC groups, and troubleshooting software blocks for Windows 11 and macOS environments. Candidates must have at least 5+ years of experience in Endpoint Security or Systems Engineering.

Must Have

• Lead Phase 2 of ThreatLocker rollout

JOB OVERVIEW

Plan A Technologies is looking for a dedicated Security Engineer to lead Phase 2 of our ThreatLocker rollout. Your primary goal is to effectively remove local administrator access across 7,000 devices without disrupting business operations.

Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience in Endpoint Security or Systems Engineering to be considered for this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Policy Architecture: Create and refine Allow-listing and Ringfencing policies for different departments.
• Software Governance: Review software requests, run investigations in the CrowdStrike Sandbox to determine if software is malicious, and coordinate with the Software Governance team.
• Automated Deployment: Manage rollouts through Intune and Azure RBAC groups.
• Support: Troubleshoot software blocks for a 95% Windows 11 and 5% MacBook environment.

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of experience in Endpoint Security or Systems Engineering.
• ThreatLocker Specialist: 2+ years of experience in Policy Creation (Allow-listing/Ringfencing) and software approval workflows.
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Intune and Azure RBAC groups for automated software deployment.
• Hands-on experience investigating software via CrowdStrike Sandbox to determine malicious intent.
• Expert-level troubleshooting for Windows 11 (95%) and macOS (5%).
• Strong customer service skills to work with multiple departments and the Software Governance team to move the project forward.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
