Job Summary

Pentair is seeking a Senior Lean Manager in Golden Valley, MN, to lead the implementation of Lean business system projects and develop systematic measurements. This role involves aligning with the Enterprise team, delivering Lean training, creating Value Stream Maps, defining SQDCCP goals, and achieving year-over-year cost savings. The manager will build and facilitate multidisciplinary Lean activities, implement improvements, and promote Lean practices across the company and with suppliers.

Must Have

  • Experience with TPS / DBS principles.
  • Managerial experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Lean tools.
  • Effective change management skills.
  • Coaching, Mentoring, Facilitation, Presenting skills.
  • Ability to work at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

  • Good analytical skills (6 Sigma Master Black Belt / Black Belt level).

We have an opportunity for a Senior Lean Manager to join our Golden Valley, MN team. You will oversee the implementation of Lean business system projects and the development of key systematic measurements.

You will work a hybrid work schedule with 3 days/week on-site in Golden Valley, MN.

You will:

  • Align with the Enterprise team to ensure consistency of approach and adoption.
  • Organize, plan, and deliver effective team training based on the Lean principles, methodologies, and concepts throughout the whole organization using the Standard Pentair training collateral.
  • Create Value stream Maps; Current, future, and ideal states to assess operational current condition, inclusive of the identification of the eight types of waste as well as targeting future state delivery and sustainment year over year.
  • Define measurable SQDCCP goals and objectives for Lean activities with associated execution deliverables.
  • ROI - Deliver year-over-year cost savings as a percentage of sales (Suggested minimum x3 Salary)
  • Build and facilitate multidisciplinary short and long-term Lean activities.
  • Implement and follow up Lean improvements, including the sustainment of results.
  • Identify and evaluate equipment automation requirements to support Lean implementations.
  • Communicate plans, actions, and results to the company (PDCA)
  • Execute company strategy (Hoshin Kanri) associated with implementation of lean systems, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Promote and ensure Lean practices throughout company and external suppliers.
  • Participate directly and indirectly in all Kaizen events.
  • Participate in benchmark Enterprise-wide Lean events with sister and external companies.

Key Qualifications:

  • B.S in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in implementing LEAN Manufacturing principles in a dedicated Lean role while working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with the TPS / DBS principles.
  • Managerial experience
  • Full ability to read and communicate in country of residence.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) within all organization levels.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of the Lean tools; Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Work, Creating Continuous Flow, Root-Cause Problem Solving
  • Good analytical skills: 6 Sigma Master Black Belt / Black Belt level with the ability to Project manage would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrate effective change management skills; Influencing, Communication, Change Management, Stakeholder Management
  • Evidence of effective Coaching / Mentoring, Facilitation, and Presenting
  • Ability to work at all levels of the organization.
  • The role is part strategic (50%) and part hands on (50%). Must be able to work at both levels.
  • Must be available to travel up to 50% to other Pentair Businesses and Lean exchange events if required.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $110700 - $205600 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus and/or long-term incentives.
