Scopely seeks a Senior QA Manager for its Monopoly Go! team in Kelowna, Canada (hybrid). Responsibilities include leading the QA team, providing technical expertise and career development, building on existing team metrics, advocating for Automation Engineering, communicating with stakeholders, and working with team leads on efficient plans. The ideal candidate will have proven managerial experience in a full software development cycle within mobile gaming or social apps, a deep understanding of QA techniques, and experience with remote teams and cross-functional collaboration. The role requires influencing change for exceptional product quality and improving testing within agile teams. This is a key role within a growing team supporting a major franchise game.

Scopely is looking for a Senior QA Manager to join our Monopoly Go! game team in Kelowna (Canada) on a hybrid basis!

Monopoly GO! is our new casual game and a key franchise that has just become one of Scopely’s largest games enjoyed by millions of players. The team is based in Europe and the US, and works every day to create captivating new experiences for our players.
What You Will Do 
  • Lead QA team in the Ogopogo Team (Monopoly Go!)
  • Manage, provide technical expertise and career development for a team that is keen to grow and develop 
  • Build on existing team metrics for measurement of quality and operational excellence
  • Be an advocate and spokesperson for Automation Engineering efforts
  • Clearly communicate issues, risks, concerns, and successes to stakeholders, partners, and executives
  • Establish and maintain strong communication with cross-functional teams for both internal and external development, QA and Localization partners
  • Work with team leads on how to create efficient plans, assignments, and schedules for associated quality functions
  • Continually improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the QA & Deployment effort by assessing current practices and incorporating new strategies
  • Be the internal advocate and spokesperson for all things QA & Deployment while clearly communicating issues, risks, concerns, and successes to stakeholders
What We’re Looking For 
  • Have a proven track record of managerial experience in a full software development cycle
  • Experience within the mobile gaming space or social apps 
  • Deep understanding of quality assurance techniques, frameworks and methodologies
  • Ability to influence change that achieves exceptional product quality
  • Experience training and improving testing as an embedded function in multi-disciplined agile feature teams.
  • Experience in working with remote teams and working with a cross-functional team 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software testing, software QA processes, software development processes, change management and process improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience of different bug tracking software and test plan management solutions
For candidates in British Columbia, the annual salary range is $83,700 - 113,000 CAD, plus equity, bonus and benefits including healthcare benefits, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and paid time-off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
