Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Specialist for our Barcelona, Stockholm or Malmö office, to work with our game engine team on delivering the highest quality engine and tools to our game teams in an agile fashion.

 

Your role within our Kingdom

The Senior QA Specialist needs to live and breathe quality and be used to working in a highly agile environment. Your role is embedded in the agile teams and focuses predominantly on Exploratory Testing throughout the development lifecycle.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with programmers to understand their needs and support feature verification.

  • Detect and isolate repeatable steps of application errors.

  • Conduct hands-on testing, including functionality, exploratory, integration, and regression tests.

  • Collaborate with the team to improve and automate test and release processes.

  • Implement automated tests for new features and follow-up on the results of the test runs.

  • Analyze feature requirements to identify potential gaps and risks, and communicate them to the team.

  • Actively coach the team on testing and quality practices.

  • Ensure product quality and provide comprehensive QA reports for all team releases.

  • Implement strategic QA methodologies to simplify and measure daily QA tasks.

  • Collect and analyze QA metrics to drive data informed improvements.


 

Other Responsibilities:

  • Show technical expertise in tools development and cross-platform testing.

  • Maintain and continuously monitor test coverage and test design.

  • Oversee the team's bug tracking database and provide data insights to the QA and development teams.

  • Provide the development team with coherent and objective information.

  • Develop test plans from scratch during the development phase, seeking opportunities to enhance product quality.

  • Participate in product planning meetings, design reviews, and retrospectives.

Skills to create thrills:

  • Minimum of 5+ years QA experience across various platforms.

  • Proficient in both manual and automated testing concepts.

  • Proficient in working with mobile devices across iOS, Android, and Windows platforms.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill/Capable of effectively communicating complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to lead craft (QA) wide initiatives and projects.

Bonus skills: 

  • Possess a fundamental understanding of game engines and their respective tech stacks or other client applications. 

  • Experienced with tools and databases like Selenium, JIRA, and TestRail.

  • Experienced with analytics and supporting  tools like Grafana, Splunk, Looker.

  • Skilled with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI.

  • Fluent with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, Ruby).

  • Familiar with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
