Job Summary

Razer is seeking a Senior Regulatory & Compliance Engineer to own and manage product testing and certification, ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards. This role involves leading agency approvals, coordinating activities from quotations to test plans, and fostering relationships with regulatory bodies and suppliers. The engineer will drive the development of in-house compliance procedures, review new product designs for regulatory adherence, and conduct root cause analysis for non-compliance issues. The position requires 5-8 years of experience in electronics design and development, with expertise in consumer product safety, EMI/EMC, and RF testing.

Must Have

  • Own and manage product testing and certification to meet regulatory standards
  • Lead, coordinate, and execute all activities related to agency approvals and compliance
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with regulatory agencies, product safety and EMI/EMC bodies, vendors, and suppliers
  • Drive the creation, development, and ongoing maintenance of in-house test procedures, test plans, and compliance guidelines
  • Review new product designs early in the development process to ensure all regulatory requirements are met
  • Lead or coordinate root cause analysis for any regulatory non-compliance issues
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in electronics design and development engineering
  • Exposure to testing, prediction, and assessment, including consumer product safety, EMI/EMC, and RF testing
  • Strong working knowledge of product certification and global market access requirements
  • Experience analysing test data and presenting findings to cross-functional teams
  • Hands-on experience obtaining certifications and regulatory approvals for consumer electronic products

Good to Have

  • Experience with environmental compliance requirements for electrical and electronic equipment (e.g. EU WEEE, RoHS, REACH)

Job Responsibilities :

  • Own and manage product testing and certification to meet regulatory standards
  • Lead, coordinate, and execute all activities related to agency approvals and compliance, including obtaining quotations, raising purchase requests, and preparing schedules, reports, test procedures, and test plans
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with regulatory agencies, product safety and EMI/EMC bodies, as well as vendors and suppliers
  • Drive the creation, development, and ongoing maintenance of in-house test procedures, test plans, and compliance guidelines aligned with current and evolving regulatory standards
  • Review new product designs early in the development process to ensure all regulatory requirements are met, and lead or coordinate root cause analysis for any regulatory non-compliance issues

Pre-Requisites :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Experience with environmental compliance requirements for electrical and electronic equipment (e.g. EU WEEE, RoHS, REACH) is preferred
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in electronics design and development engineering, with exposure to testing, prediction, and assessment, including consumer product safety, EMI/EMC, and RF testing
  • Strong working knowledge of product certification and global market access requirements
  • Experience analysing test data and presenting findings to cross-functional teams
  • Hands-on experience obtaining certifications and regulatory approvals for consumer electronic products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
