Job Description Summary LightSpeed LA is seeking for a talented and enthusiastic tools engineer to join our new studio in sunny Irvine California. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for games and enabling content creators to deliver the most polished experience for our players. Join our team of industry veterans and help us build a team and culture of respect that pushes boundaries while having lots of fun.
• Help maintain a culture of fast iteration and practical problem solving • Work with content creator teams to identify tools workflow issues and implement solutions to address them • Evolve iteratively existing systems into state of the art solutions • Work closely with teammates to design and build performant, reliable and fast iteration tools using proven practices
Requirements:
• Passion for games and the tech that makes them come to life • Expert with C++ • Experience developing GUI applications for content creators • Familiarity with of game content delivery pipelines and tools • Good 3D math skills • Ability to communicate effectively with technical artists, design and other engineers • Comfort level extending and improving an established code base • Value lean, simple, efficient, well-tested code
Preferred: • Working knowledge of C# and Python • Shipped a game on PC and/or Consoles • Experience with DCC tools like Maya, Houdini, Blender, etc. • Familiarity with console build and deploy pipelines

The base pay range for this position in the state(s) above is $122,400 to $255,600 per year. Actual pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as other medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the specific position offered.
