Udemy is seeking a Software Engineer for its Trust & Identity team in Dublin, Ireland. - Have a BS/MS in CS or equivalent discipline; or equivalent alternative degree or work experience.
- 2+ years of professional software development experience.
- Technical competence in Kotlin/Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, SQL, GraphQL, Kubernetes.
- Practitioner in ReactJS, Typescript, frontend state management, HTML, CSS.
- Solid understanding of domain-driven design, event-driven development and monolith decomposition patterns.
- Analytical problem solving, cross-functional communication, and systems thinking skills.

**Where we Work**
Udemy is a global company headquartered in San Francisco, with additional U.S. offices in Denver and Austin, and international hubs in Australia, India, Ireland, Mexico, and Türkiye. This is an in-office position, requiring three days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.

You will be joining our Trust & Identity team to build high-impact, customer-facing authentication features that support millions of learners and instructors worldwide. You’ll help protect our users from security risks and abuse while modernizing our login and signup experiences using the latest authentication standards. You’ll also deepen your expertise by anticipating how bad actors might target our platform and implementing safeguards that keep our community safe.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Writing code using your skills in Kotlin/Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis/Elasticache, GraphQL, Kubernetes and user interfaces in ReactJS, Typescript, MobX or closely related technologies to meet your team's objectives.
- Deploying, monitoring and maintaining a set of critical services in our infrastructure using Datadog and FireHydrant Signals.

**What you’ll have**
