Software Engineer (Workday)

Our client, a leading healthcare staffing provider in the U.S., is seeking a dedicated Software Engineer (Workday) to develop and maintain software programs using Java and other technologies. This remote role in Romania requires adjusted working hours to overlap with U.S. time zones. The position involves significant Workday integration development, contributing to a company that positively impacts millions of patients annually.

Must Have

• 4+ years of integration development experience in Workday (HCM and FINS)
• Proficiency with integration technologies such as SOAP, REST, XML, XSLT, JSON
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline or equivalent work experience
• Ability to deliver quality software with a focus on automation

Good to Have

• Workday Pro Studio certification or equivalent (Workday Pro Extend certification preferred)
• Familiarity with BIRT, Workday RaaS, Prism, Workday Extend, Workato
• Experience with Salesforce
• Experience with other programming technologies including Java (Spring) and Javascript (Node.js, Vue.js)
• Knowledge of cloud services and container technologies including AWS and Docker
• Understanding of SLDC
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies

We are looking for dedicated software engineers who want to work for one of “Fortune 100’s Top Companies to Work For”. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining software programs that run the business using Java and other technologies.

As you will be working with a U.S.-based client, the role requires adjusted working hours with overlap into late afternoon/evening (approx. until 23:00 CET) – not extended working hours, just a shifted schedule.

Primary Job Duties

• 4+ years of integration development experience in Workday (HCM and FINS), using Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and Enterprise Interface Builder
• Strong desire to grow your skillset
• Proficiency with integration technologies such as SOAP, REST, XML, XSLT, JSON
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline or equivalent work experience
• Adaptability in learning new technologies and roles to meet the needs of a team
• Willingness to wear multiple hats in an agile team environment
• Track record of integrity and ethics
• Ability to deliver quality software with a focus on automation

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Workday Pro Studio certification or equivalent - preference will be given to those with Workday Pro Extend certifcation
• Familiarity with BIRT, Workday RaaS, Prism, Workday Extend, Workato
• Experience with Salesforce
• Experience with other programming technologies including Java (Spring) and Javascript (Node.js, Vue.js)
• Knowledge of cloud services and container technologies including AWS and Docker
• Excellent decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to consult, perform process mapping, collect customer requirements and deliver the agreed upon solution
• Experience working closely with a managed service provider and Workday

Education & Years of Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline

Preferred

• Understanding of SLDC
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies preferred
