Job Summary

As a Qualcomm Quality Engineer, you will plan, implement, and manage compliance of design, development/manufacturing, production processes, and/or quality requirements with safety, quality, and regulatory standards for worldwide distribution. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet and exceed customer expectations. Responsibilities include leading continuous improvement, defining supplier roadmaps, conducting audits, ensuring compliance, managing incoming material quality, handling supplier claims, establishing SPC/Cpk monitoring, providing supplier assessments, and supporting new material selection and issue resolution.
Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Lead continuous improvement activities to improve supplier quality.
- Define supplier roadmaps (certification status, zero defects, etc.) and managing the roadmap.
- Responsible for supplier audit, perform supplier rating in terms of quality and technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant internal procedures and policies (TTD, QAA, material compliance) and quality system.
- Responsible for the quality of incoming materials within processes.
- Manage supplier’s claim and follow up 8D report.
- Establish SPC and Cpk monitoring at supplier.
- Provide supplier assessments on quality to influence supplier selection and qualification for new materials/technology.
- Joint ownership with TD team and sourcing team in new materials selection and to define the specification.
- Select and qualify 2nd source suppliers with sourcing, technology development and engineering team.
- Provide technical support and driving material quality issue with Suppliers.
- Degree in Engineering. Preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
Good to Have
- Good statistics and materials analyses knowledge.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 internal auditor.
- Certified in IATF16949 or equivalent.

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge
- Possess good statistics and materials analyses knowledge.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 internal auditor, and certified in IATF16949 or equivalent would be an advantage
- Dynamic, resourceful and self-motivated, have strong communications and interpersonal skills, and a team player.
- Able to travel 10-20%
