Student Assistant - Commercial Finance

Saxo Bank is seeking a motivated Student Assistant to join the Commercial Finance PMO's Finance Partner team at their Hellerup HQ in Copenhagen, Denmark. This part-time role involves delivering critical business performance insights, supporting management reporting, and contributing to forecasting and business case development. Responsibilities include project support for finance function improvements, cost controlling, preparing monthly financial reports for management and the Board, and providing ad hoc support for daily activities.

Must Have

• Projects related to the finance function, including continuous improvement of tools and processes
• Cost controlling on specific areas
• Preparing the monthly financial reporting to Management and Board
• Preparation of presentations for Executive Management and Board meetings
• Ad hoc support on day-to-day activities
• Fluent in English - written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders
• Currently pursuing studies in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field

Good to Have

• Experience with Excel, Power Point and PowerBI
• Interest in working with the interaction between people, processes, and IT Infrastructure

About the job

We are looking for a motivated and talented student assistant to join our Finance Partner team in Commercial Finance PMO and play a key role in delivering critical business performance insights. The Finance partner team consists of five colleagues, and you will refer to the Head of Finance Partners and Commercial Finance PMO.

Most of your key stakeholders are based at our Hellerup HQ, where you'll collaborate closely with Finance partners and Commercial Finance colleagues, expanding your finance expertise and sharing insights.

We are responsible for the Management reporting in Saxo Bank including reporting/presentations for the Board/Executive Management as well as more detailed reporting packages for our global offices, business lines and HQ functions. The reporting process is performed monthly ensuring a consistent basis for follow-up and decision making and is continuously evaluated to maximize the value and the efficiency of the process.

We leverage historical performance and business insights to craft forecasts and business cases, supporting and challenging Saxo’s operations. As part of the Finance partner team, you'll engage in developing forecast models, preparing analyses, and consolidating Saxo Group's financial outlook.

Responsibilities

As a student assistant in Commercial Finance your responsibilities will typically include:

Your Profile

• You have an interest in working with management reporting and communication to key stakeholders
• Experience with Excel, Power Point and PowerBI will be an advantage
• You have an interest in working with the interaction between people, processes, and IT Infrastructure
• You can manage multiple stakeholders and are not afraid to quickly reach out to align on tasks
• You enjoy working in an international and fast-paced agile environment
• You are fluent in English - written and verbal
• You thrive on finding intelligent and automated solutions
