Synechron is seeking an experienced Payment Technical Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance payment solutions. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to define technical strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards like PCI-DSS, leading technical discussions, mentoring teams, and providing guidance on best practices. Candidates should possess deep technical expertise in payment processing systems, transaction flows, and settlement mechanisms, along with strong domain knowledge in financial technology.

Must Have

  • Architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performance payment systems
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical strategies and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Lead technical discussions, mentor teams, and provide guidance on best practices
  • Ensure robust security and adherence to PCI-DSS and other compliance frameworks
  • 12+ years in software engineering and architecture
  • 5+ years in the payments domain
  • Strong knowledge of payment processing systems, transaction flows, and settlement mechanisms
  • Hands-on experience with Java/.NET, microservices, REST APIs, Kafka, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Familiarity with security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, TLS) and compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS)
  • Exposure to card networks (Visa, Mastercard), UPI, wallets, and payment gateways
  • Understanding of fraud detection, risk management, and reconciliation processes
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performance payment systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical strategies and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead technical discussions, mentor teams, and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Ensure robust security and adherence to PCI-DSS and other compliance frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 12+ years in software engineering and architecture, with at least 5+ years in the payments domain.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Strong knowledge of payment processing systems, transaction flows, and settlement mechanisms.
  • Hands-on experience with Java/.NET, microservices, REST APIs, Kafka, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Familiarity with security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, TLS) and compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS).
  • Domain Knowledge:
