Job Summary

The Tender Management Engineer at Quest Global will direct and coordinate all activities for on-time delivery of Steam tendering projects, encompassing major sub-components and new replacement components for turbines or valve sets. This role involves engaging with Marketing, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Planning, and Procurement to clarify technical work and resources. The engineer will ensure collaborative technical decision-making, act as the primary contact for internal and external partners, support Project Managers with Emergent Work Requests tenders, and assist SEI GS Service groups with quotation requests and negotiations.

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical degree with 5 – 8 years of related experience
  • 5 - 8 years of experience in Project Management, Planning or Steam Product and/or Manufacturing Engineering, power equipment production, time management
  • Supported quotation Process in Manufacturing and Production Supervisor
  • Expert written, verbal, mathematical skills
  • Good knowledge of ERP system(s) and its dependencies within the system (i.e. SAP)
  • Legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
  • Ability to commute to Charlotte, NC for an on-site position

What You will Do:

  • The Tendering/Proposal Development is an important part of our Steam business and a main driver for the success of our growing business
  • You will direct and coordinate all activities required for on-time delivery of Steam tendering projects. These projects may encompass all major sub-components, as well as new replacement components up to and including the entire operating turbine or valve sets.
  • You will be engaged with Marketing, ME (Manufacturing Engineer), Production, Planning and Procurement to clarify technical work and resources necessary to satisfy tendering requirements
  • We will enable you to ensure and facilitate that proper collaborative technical decision-making process is being followed when scope of issue extends beyond single team member responsibility
  • Your role is to function as the primary point of contact for internal business partners and external customers on all matters pertaining to the project/proposal
  • One of your role will be to support Project Manager with the facilitation of EWRs (Emergent Work Requests) tenders to support a seamless financial workflow
  • You will be in the forefront to receive requests for quotation and support SEI GS Service groups on negotiations for additional scope following order entry and throughout the product warranty phase

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical degree with 5 – 8 years of related experience
  • 5 - 8 years of experience in Project Management, Planning or Steam Product and/or Manufacturing Engineering (valve knowledge preferred), power equipment production, time management
  • Strong work ethic and willing to do what it takes to get the job done on time, with high quality and minimal direct supervision
  • Supported quotation Process in Manufacturing and Production Supervisor
  • Expert written, verbal, mathematical, and interpersonal skills is a must
  • Good knowledge of ERP system(s) and its dependencies within the system (i.e. SAP) required
  • Required travel up to 5%
  • Independently perform advanced areas of work for this professional field
  • Apply advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently.
  • Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross functional problems
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Pay Range: $70K-$80K

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Work Requirements:

This role is considered an on-site position located in Charlotte, NC

  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
  • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, 5% of travel is required.
