【Xita】Character Concept Designer

Responsible for the early-stage art development of character types for the 'Xita' anime project, covering visual creation for protagonists, supporting characters, and various other roles. Work with the director and art director to complete character original designs, including styling, costume details, expressions, props, and extended designs, ensuring visual style aligns with the script. Participate in character setting discussions, early exploration of art style, and collaborate on establishing visual themes. Develop character art design specifications and promote technical research and implementation with mid-to-late stage teams.

Job Description

1. Conduct early-stage art development for character types for the [Xita] anime project, covering visual creation for protagonists, supporting characters, and various other roles.

2. According to the director's and art director's intentions and requirements, complete the original character design for the world view, including character styling, costume details, expression dynamics, props, and extended designs for world view characters, ensuring the character's visual style is highly consistent with the script narrative.

3. Participate in character setting discussions, early exploration and development of character art style; collaborate with the director to establish the character's visual theme, deeply understand the story to design visual elements that can convey the character's personality, background, and growth.

4. Collaborate with the art director to formulate character art design specification documents, unify character project art standards, establish efficient character art development processes; jointly promote character technical research and effect implementation with mid-to-late stage teams (such as modeling, animation).

Job Requirements

1. Rich art experience, able to participate in early-stage character art development with the lead artist and director; understand certain 3D to 2D animation character art processes.

2. Possess excellent artistic accomplishment and art foundation, proficient in drawing animation cel-style, with a relatively deep understanding of character drawing, modeling, and dynamics. Familiar with Photoshop and other drawing software. Rich experience in character concept design, character detail depiction, and world view extension design, with strong execution and control ability.

3. Possess both high-level artistic accomplishment and art creation ability, able to accurately understand character and design requirements in the script, and complete character art development and implementation according to project requirements.

4. Good at communication and teamwork, need to coordinate external character work content according to tasks issued by the art team, mainly including organizing, accepting, and providing feedback on external character demands.
