The company is headquartered in Silicon Valley and has offices worldwide.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Actian is in search of a </span><b style="font-size: 12pt;">Consultant </b><span style="font-size: 12pt;">who is interested in joining the Actian Professional Services team. </span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The primary focus of this position is to provide the highest quality pre/post-sales consulting, and support (technical, operational / production) to a variety of customers using the Actian products in mission-critical settings. </span></div><div><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The successful candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, be thorough while being efficient, and contribute to team efforts through collaboration and knowledge sharing. This position requires a seasoned technical person proficient at all phases of the development lifecycle of Data integration projects.&nbsp; Candidates must be able to interface with external business users, management, and technical stakeholders to achieve results and meet objectives. </span></div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div><div class="section page-centered"><div><h3>Primary Responsibilities: </h3><ul class="posting-requirements plain-list"><ul><li>Work on Design, Implementation, and Delivery of complex Data integration and Data Discovery projects for Customers using the Actian Integration and Data Discovery &amp; Data Catalog Solutions.</li><li>Solve complex, integration and analytics problems either alone or in a team. These problems are often related to production issues or outages, and a sense of urgency balanced with diligence is required.</li><li>Work with customers and internal teams executing project planning and management processes, design, and design review efforts, and testing activities. </li><li>Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot computer software, hardware, or network systems or applications necessary to reproduce or analyze the customer’s environment or problems.</li><li>Maintain current skills related to the use of Actian products and standard industry tools, technologies, and best practices to use in everyday tasks. </li><li>Create and deliver presentations for technical and non-technical audiences. </li><li>Identifying and capturing lessons learned, best practices, and information gained during the performance of tasks. </li><li>Create required documentation for activities such as client support, site visits, bug reports, reproducible test cases, and unit test plans</li><li>Strong desire to mentor others in the data integration space, providing technical and business guidance. </li></ul></ul></div></div><div class="section page-centered"><div><h3>Qualifications: </h3><ul class="posting-requirements plain-list"><ul><li>In depth knowledge of Integration tools, such as Informatica, Boomi, Talend, DataConnect, DataFlow or IBM Datastage/Tranformation Extender<s>. </s></li><li>Knowledge of (but not limited to): Ingres, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase, IBM DB2, MySQL, Informix, Access, Excel, XML, ODBC, ASCII, Python, COM, C, Visual SourceSafe/Git, CVS, REST, GraphQL.</li><li>Hands-on experience with at least one database server such as Ingres, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL or Informix.</li><li>Experience/Knowledge with Data Discovery and Data Catalog tools such as Zeenea, Collibra, Alation or others.</li><li>Knowledge of Business Analytics applications (Tableau, PowerBI), support, and troubleshooting concepts</li><li>Proficient in the design and development of applications that use databases </li><li>Proficient at designing and implementing solutions of various levels of complexity and integration with other products in a production environment.</li><li>Experience working with JSON, XML, EDI, and other data formats. </li><li>Experience with Healthcare data formats (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR) a plus </li><li>Knowledge of computer networking models, network configuration and diagnostics, and JDBC or .NET environments </li><li>Experience and knowledge of cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud </li><li>Good understanding of SQL queries and scripts </li><li>The ability to work on multiple projects at one time, prioritizing tasks to meet critical and sometimes changing deadlines. </li><li>Knowledge of security systems, authentication, authorization, and access control systems in operating systems </li><li>Knowledge of multinational character sets and Unicode Experience in production operations of database or IT related systems </li><li>Ability to estimate time for Statement of Work proposals. </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills</li></ul></ul></div></div><div class="section page-centered" data-qa="closing-description"><div><i>We value diversity at our company.
