Backend Engineer

As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the server-side logic, database architecture, and APIs that power our products. You will collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance systems that meet the needs of our business. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining backend systems and services, designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices, collaborating with front-end developers and product managers to define, develop, and deliver features, writing clean, reusable, and efficient code, following best practices, troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing applications as needed, ensuring the security and integrity of backend systems, data, and APIs, participating in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members, monitoring system performance and resolving production issues as they arise.

About The Role As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the server-side logic, database architecture, and APIs that power our products. You will collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance systems that meet the needs of our business. What You'll Do <ul><li>Develop and maintain backend systems and services to ensure optimal performance and scalability</li><li>Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices for our fintech platform</li><li>Collaborate with front-end developers and product managers to define, develop, and deliver features</li><li>Write clean, reusable, and efficient code, following best practices</li><li>Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications as needed</li><li>Ensure the security and integrity of backend systems, data, and APIs</li><li>Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members</li><li>Monitor system performance and resolve production issues as they arise </li></ul>
What We Are Looking For <ul><li>1.5 to 3 years of experience in backend development</li><li>Proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Node.js, NestJS, Express, or Python</li><li>Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development</li><li>Experience with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL, and data modeling</li><li>Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and DevOps tools such as Docker and Kubernetes</li><li>Proficiency with version control systems like Git</li><li>Understanding of software development best practices, including testing, security, and scalability</li><li>Experience with caching tools such as Redis or Memcached</li><li>Knowledge of unit testing frameworks like Mocha, Chai, Sinon, or Jest</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Experience with microservices architecture</li><li>Familiarity with fintech or payment systems</li><li>Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools </li></ul>
