Corpay seeks a Senior Data Scientist for its lodging line of business.  This role directly impacts revenue and requires applying data-driven strategies within the hospitality industry to boost profitability, efficiency, and customer experience. Responsibilities include developing and implementing data science strategies, building predictive models and machine learning algorithms, conducting data analytics, creating business intelligence dashboards, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring data quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, statistical modeling proficiency, experience leading data science teams, and experience in the lodging/hospitality industry.  The position is hybrid, based in Chennai, India, with hours from 12-9:30 pm IST.

 Your role What You'll Be Doing What We Need Corpay is currently looking to hire a Senior Data Scientist. This position falls under our lodging line of business. In this role, you will make a direct impact on the revenue of Corpay. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of data science techniques, and a proven track record of applying data-driven strategies in the hospitality or lodging industry to drive business profitability, increased efficiencies and improved customer experience. How We Work As a Senior Data Scientist you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment based out of our Chennai office location. The hours for this role: 12-9:30pm IST. Role Responsibilities The responsibilities of the role will include: Data Strategy <ul><li>Developing and implementing data science strategies that align with business objectives</li><li>Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data and driving business outcomes which positively impact the P&amp;L </li></ul>
Model Development <ul><li>Developing and deploying predictive models and machine learning algorithms</li><li>Ensuring models are accurate, scalable, and contribute to business goals </li></ul>
Data Analytics and Management <ul><li>Sorting through structured and unstructured data to drive actionable insights through advanced modelling</li><li>Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their needs, identify a problem statement and translate them into analytical solutions</li><li>Driving data quality and compliance. Ensure controls are in place for data acquisition, enrichment, data deletion, etc. </li></ul>
Business Intelligence &amp; dashboard <ul><li>Experience delivering automated production level dashboards across various levels of the organization</li><li>Ability to consume data from multiple sources and present relevant information in a crisp and digestible manner that delivers valuable insights </li></ul>
Collaboration <ul><li>Collaborating with product, marketing and sales teams to integrate data science solutions into business processes</li><li>Working closely with IT and engineering teams to implement scalable and efficient data solutions </li></ul>
Qualifications &amp; Skills <ul><li>Undergraduate Degree (Master's desirable but not essential) or in a quantitative field (Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, etc.).</li><li>3 - 5 years of experience</li><li>Superior analytical skills, demonstrated statistical modeling proficiency and understanding of strategy</li><li>Proven experience in leading and managing data science teams.</li><li>Previous experience in the lodging or hospitality industry is highly desirable.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Substantial exposure to relational databases and uses of SQL, R and Python</li><li>Exposure to warehousing data in a data lake e.g., AWS</li><li>Strong knowledge of Tableau and experience building production-level dashboards</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset. </li></ul>
