They are seeking sports-savvy writers who are passionate about sports, follow trends, and understand athletes as cultural figures. This is a remote freelance or hourly role, open to both part-time and full-time contributors. Writers will cover the NFL/College Football (NCAA), NBA/WNBA, and MLB, focusing on timely news, celebrity-style athlete reporting, short-form viral stories, and the intersection of sports, culture, and social media. Responsibilities include writing trending news and short-form stories (400-800 words), tracking emerging storylines, submitting clean copy on deadline, and pitching original headlines or story concepts. Collaboration with editors is also expected.
