The FQA Project Lead at GlobalStep will manage and supervise QA testers across various game projects.  Responsibilities include project setup, task assignment, resource management, bug tracking, test plan development, tester training and performance evaluation, client communication, and reporting.  This role requires strong leadership, technical skills (mobile devices, QA tools), and excellent communication.  The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of games QA experience, experience leading teams, and a deep understanding of QA methodologies. <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>

<li>Lead various projects</li>



<li>Supervise and lead a group of QA testers per project</li>



<li>Validate test requests and set up projects before tests start</li>



<li>Assign clear tasks to testers</li>



<li>Manage time and resources to meet project deadlines and requirements</li>



<li>Manage various bug-tracking databases depending on each project needs</li>



<li>Validate bug reports from testers and ensure they meet the client and company standards</li>



<li>Develop and update comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases</li>



<li>Verify that checklists are understood and diligently followed by the testers</li>



<li>Participate in the training, motivation and evolution of each tester</li>



<li>Evaluate tester performance and behaviour at work</li>



<li>Apply disciplinary measures when necessary with the help of Human Resources</li>



<li>Monitor attendance of testers</li>



<li>Be the main point of contact with clients and maintain a high level of communication through various tools (Skype, e-mail, phone or any client-preferred tools)</li>



<li>Escalate urgent or critical problems to management and/or client, depending on the situation</li>



<li>Identify problems and work on resolving them</li>



<li>Participate in the evolution of the QA services and strategies</li>



<li>Create and send detailed test reports to clients</li>



<li>Create post-mortem on projects needing it</li>



<li>Device management: be responsible for devices used by the team and follow company procedures about getting and returning devices, account management and other rules</li>



<li>Assist management with any other task, including scoping projects and testing</li>



<li>Demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism and foster a positive working environment</li>



<li>Mentor, coach and upskill testers and future test leads.</li>

<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>

<li>Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience preferred</li>



<li>3+ years of Games QA experience on at least 5 titles</li>



<li>Experience leading Games QA teams and projects</li>



<li>Technical knowledge about mobile devices, understanding their terminology</li>



<li>Excellent communication skills using spoken and written English</li>



<li>Knowledge and ease working with QA tools such as bug-tracking databases (i.e. JIRA), test case management software (i.e. TestRail), checklists on MS Excel</li>
