Job Profile: The Senior Engineer is responsible for monitoring and management of Kaseya Cloud SaaS production environments &amp; internal servers running on Virtual and Hybrid Data Centers like VMware, AWS, Microsoft Azure and will be working as part of a global engineering team to contribute the following. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Support and maintain Kaseya’s globally distributed SaaS infrastructure.</li><li>Manage and monitor VMs running in a hybrid virtualization environment (Hyper-V, VMWare, Amazon EC2 and Azure)</li><li>Enhance and support our global infrastructure and Cloud software monitoring solutions.</li><li>Effectively communicate and collaborate with R&amp;D, Customer Success, Support and Operations teams</li><li>Resolve hardware, operational, infrastructure, performance and application incidents.</li><li>Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolve problems to ensure infrastructure and application stability.</li><li>Provision new servers as required to anticipate production server capacity requirements.</li><li>Participate in weekly maintenance and on-call duties which may require off hours work. </li></ul>
Skills And Experience <ul><li>3 + years Windows Administration experience (Active Directory, IIS, Disk management, Windows Patching, Performance) with troubleshooting and administering Linux-based production systems (Ubuntu, RHEL)</li><li>Basic Scripting in PowerShell, bash and python environments is a plus.</li><li>Experience in P2V, VMotion and VMware virtual center.</li><li>Cloud Infrastructure experience - Amazon Cloud or MS Azure</li><li>Strong fault analysis/determination and problem-solving skills</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a distributed team environment.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.</li><li>Basic computer and network security skills</li><li>Willingness to work in Rotational shifts in a 24/7/365 environment and available for after-hours support. </li></ul>
Working knowledge in the following areas is a big plus: <ul><li>Databases such as MSSQL, MySQL and Postgres</li><li>Container technologies such as Docker </li></ul>
Qualifications <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience</li><li>Relevant Microsoft/Linux Certifications </li></ul>

<div class="job__description body"><div>Niantic is seeking Software Engineers to help build next-generation augmented reality and location-based games using Niantic’s Real World Platform. The ideal candidate has a love for games and the ability to collaborate with Unity developers, technical artists, and game designers in order to build fun games at scale. We seek engineers with strong judgment, great execution, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities. You will work on all aspects of the game backend, from designing RPC protocols to writing game logic to deploying and monitoring the servers. Building systems with security and scalability in mind is a must.
Our focus is shipping fun, world-class games. We value engineers who consistently deliver quality results. You will join an outstanding team of like-minded people to create ground breaking mobile and AR experiences.
<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
<li>Create robust, low-latency, scalable systems that support Niantic’s products.</li>
<li>Design the RPC protocols and implement server-side features in Java.</li>
<li>Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and other departments to ensure code meets internal standards.</li>
<li>Perform load testing, participate in code reviews, write unit tests, and solve problems to ensure uptime for live systems.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional team members and collaborators, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings.</li>
<li>Required in-office 3 days on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
<li>You have a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.</li>
<li>Minimum of 2+ years of experience building reliable scalable platforms, 5+ years for senior level candidates.</li>
<li>Proficiency in one of the following languages: Java, Go or C++.</li>
<li>Experience building networked and distributed systems.</li>
<li>Experience building concurrent and multi-threaded services.</li>
<li>Delivered solutions to production environments, and provided tools to monitor, support and mitigate any issues.</li>
<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately and/or ability to solve practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice.</li>
<li>Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications, including synchronous interactions with others.</li>
<li>Business English Proficiency: Fluent English skills required for effective collaboration with international teams and global offices.</li>
<li>Basic Japanese language skills</li>
