The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of user-centered design, a proven track record in AAA game development, and the ability to bridge creative vision with technical execution.<h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800">Key Responsibilities</h3><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Define, own, and drive the UX strategy across the project lifecycle, from concept to launch.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Collaborate closely with design, art, engineering, and production teams to ensure a cohesive player experience.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Guide and mentor a team of UX/UI designers, fostering innovation and best practices in workflow and design execution.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Translate complex gameplay systems into intuitive and engaging interfaces that support immersion and accessibility.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Advocate for player needs through research, playtesting, and iterative design methodologies.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Ensure consistency, quality, and scalability of UX systems across platforms.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Partner with the art and motion design teams to integrate advanced motion graphics and cinematic UI elements into the overall experience.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Guarantee compliance with console TRC requirements (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, etc.) to ensure smooth certification and submission.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Oversee localization pipelines, ensuring that UX/UI systems are scalable, culturally adapted, and accessible to a global audience.</li></ul><h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800">Required Skills & Experience</h3><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with a focus on video game development.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Proven track record of having shipped at least one AAA title from concept through to launch.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Mastery of Figma for prototyping and collaborative design.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop (UI textures and layouts), Illustrator (iconography, vector assets), and After Effects (motion design and UI animation).</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Strong understanding of Unreal Engine 5, including UI implementation pipelines, shader workflows, and performance optimization.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Advanced skills in motion design and creating dynamic, player-centric visual storytelling through interface animation.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Solid knowledge of console TRC compliance and its impact on UX design decisions.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Experience in localization workflows, including design for multi-language UI, text expansion, right-to-left support, and culturally adapted assets.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Deep understanding of player psychology, usability, accessibility, and how they inform AAA design systems.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.</li></ul><h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800">Preferred Qualifications</h3><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Experience working across multiple platforms (PC, console, cloud).</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and compliance standards.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Passion for emerging technologies and generative AI tools in design workflows.</li></ul><h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800">Why Krafton Montreal?</h3><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Studio KRAFTON Montreal is committed to cultivating a work environment that respects all differences and encourages everyone to feel included and valued.
