 OverviewWe are seeking a seasoned Principal Engineer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and implementing innovative solutions within the WebRTC domain and will play a critical role in driving technical excellence across our engineering teams. This role requires a deep understanding of the real-time communications landscape and the ability to lead complex projects from concept to completion. This position is hands-on and requires exceptional attention to detail. Roles &amp; Responsibilities: <ul><li>Lead the architecture, design, and development of WebRTC-based solutions, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability.</li><li>Provide technical direction and leadership across the engineering team, promoting best practices in coding, architecture, and process management.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Operations, to deliver features and improvements in alignment with business objectives.</li><li>Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.</li><li>Drive innovation within the team, identifying emerging technologies and techniques that can be leveraged to enhance our product offerings.</li><li>Ensure adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.</li><li>Work closely with the VP of Engineering to align engineering efforts with strategic goals and to communicate progress, challenges, and risks effectively.</li><li>Oversee code reviews, system testing, and deployment processes to ensure quality and reliability.</li><li>Facilitate collaboration between engineering teams across different geographic locations, ensuring consistent communication and knowledge sharing.</li><li>Support recruitment efforts by identifying and attracting top engineering talent.</li></ul>
 Required / Minimum Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>10+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with a significant focus on WebRTC and real-time communication technologies.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams and delivering complex software projects.</li><li>Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks relevant to WebRTC (e.g., JavaScript, C++, Node.js).</li><li>Strong understanding of network protocols, media codecs, and streaming technologies.</li><li>Experience working with cloud platforms and microservices architecture.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.</li></ul>
 Additional / Preferred Qualifications: <ul><li>Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Experience in a senior engineering role within a globally distributed team.</li><li>Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools.</li><li>Previous experience working in a high-growth startup environment or a similar fast-paced industry.</li><li>Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to WebRTC and real-time communications.</li></ul>
