Accounting Manager

Pocket Gems seeks an experienced Accounting Manager (contract) to join their Finance team through the end of 2025.  This role involves managing the month-end close process, supervising a direct report, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, preparing financial statements, producing revenue sharing reports, and conducting ad-hoc analyses.  Responsibilities include maintaining the general ledger in Intacct, reviewing journal entries and reconciliations, mentoring team members, and supporting partner management. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, at least 6 years of relevant experience, a CPA license, and strong GAAP knowledge.

    <p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Accounting Manager (Contract)</strong> to join the Finance team <strong>through the end of 2025</strong>. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in the month-end close process and partner management. We are looking for a team player with an excellent ability to prioritize and supervise one direct report.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Maintain the integrity of the general ledger in Intacct by preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes</li>
<li>Supervise and mentor one direct report, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time</li>
<li>Support compliance with all tax regulations, including timely filing of tax returns and remittances</li>
<li>Prepare financial statements for internal and external reporting purposes</li>
<li>Produce revenue sharing reports and own any follow ups with the partner</li>
<li>Ad hoc analyses and projects as needed&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What You’ll Bring:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field</li>
<li>At least 6 years of total accounting experience, with increasing levels of responsibilities</li>
<li>Active CPA license</li>
<li>Experience in managing or mentoring team members.</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly learn and work independently to resolve issues</li>
<li>A hands-on approach and strong attention to details</li>
<li>Solid understanding of GAAP accounting concepts</li>
<li>Advanced knowledge of Excel - you should enjoy spreadsheets</li>
<li>Strong multi-tasking skills and the flexibility to quickly switch from one project to the next</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>
</ul>
