Level Designer

Reply Game Studios is seeking a skilled Level Designer to join their team.  Working closely with artists, designers, and programmers, the successful candidate will craft engaging gameplay experiences using Unreal Engine 5. Responsibilities include sketching level layouts, modeling with simplified geometry, placing gameplay objects and cameras, scripting gameplay events, testing and refining levels, and collaborating on the overall game vision.  The ideal candidate will possess strong pre-visualization skills, expertise in scripting languages (Lua or Python), and excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Experience working with art and programming teams, handling constructive feedback, and fluency in English and Italian are essential. On-site work in Milan is required.

<div class="prose prose-sm prose-alpha">Reply Game Studios is looking for a skilled Level Designer to be part of our team – a professional that will that will be working closely with Artists, Designers and Programmers in order to create high quality game levels for our new project.As a member of the Design team you will be responsible of crafting engaging gameplay experiences using Unreal Engine 5.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Sketch the layout of game levels and model them with simplified geometry</li><li>Place gameplay objects and cameras in the game levels</li><li>Script gameplay events</li><li>Test and refine your levels through multiple iterations and reviews</li><li>Collaborate with the other members of the team to develop the overall vision of the game</li></ul>Required Skills:<ul><li>Ability to pre-visualize a level with artistic sense, and to create dramatic scenes with simplified geometry</li><li>Expertise in scripting languages, such as Lua or Python</li><li>High proficiency in communication skills and teamwork attitude</li><li>Experience working closely with Art and Programming teams</li><li>Ability to handle constructive feedback and criticism</li><li>Fluent in English and Italian</li><li>Availability to work on site, in Milan</li></ul>Desired Skills:<ul><li>2+ Years in the game industry, with teamwork experience</li><li>Shipped at least 1 game on console or PC as a Level Designer</li><li>Good working knowledge of Maya, 3DS Max, or other similar 3D modeling software tools</li><li>Good working knowledge of Unreal Engine 5</li></ul>We’ll consider Junior, Experienced or Senior Level Designers for this position</div>
