NK Agronomist

As a NK Agronomist, you will be the commercial product and technology expert for corn and soybean seed in the assigned geography, supporting product advancement, commercial positioning, and training. We are looking for a NK Agronomist based in Field, Ontario, to serve the Eastern Ontario and Quebec areas. In this role, you be the commercial product and technology expert for corn and soybean seed in the assigned geography both for Syngenta and competitive products supporting product advancement, commercial positioning &amp; training.</p>
<p><strong>Training &amp; Tools:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Train and coach, the agronomic service &amp; sales teams on new product introductions and trait portfolio.</li>
<li>Provide seed agronomic leadership to TSRs &amp; ASRs within the sales districts.</li>
<li>Product support (service calls/replants) as required by the sales team.</li>
<li>Lead product training of key channel partners and large growers as defined by the sales team.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Manage the Canadian utilization of commercial data collection templates (FET outlines, Large Scale trial data collection, non-SYN FET data collection).</li>
<li>Support the development of new tools for the collection and summarization of performance information, engaging with the NA Technical Data team.</li>
<li>Support the utilization of tools for collection and commercial performance data (e.g., MyYield, Competitive Placement Guides).</li>

<p><strong>Product Positioning &amp; Market Expertise:</strong></p>

<li>Lead the development &amp; execution of a plot program to support the generation of incremental positioning data for new product introductions (P3/P4 plot programs).</li>
<li>Coordinate corn &amp; soybean regional performance trials (public official trials), oversee and submit entries and summarize results to support product positioning.</li>
<li>Facilitate the sales seed plot strategy (Field Evaluation Trial program) with Agronomic Service Reps and coordinate seed requirements and seed delivery for the program.</li>
<li>Provide content for product positioning to Product Leads and Marketing Operations.</li>
<li>Provide input into development of Master Chart Development assessing and communicating product characteristics and ratings in collaboration with NA Agronomy team.</li>
<li>Develop technical product information to support product positioning and marketing collateral.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Support the creation of plot and data summaries for training and local positioning.</li>
<li>Engage US Agronomy teams access insights &amp; share best practices.</li>
<li>Engage regional influencers to support Syngenta’s seed strategy.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Technical Product Lifecycle Management :</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Identify technical portfolio gaps based upon market needs &amp; competitive landscape.</li>
<li>Inform Stage 6 development process to support advancement decisions with market insight and competitive dynamics interfacing with Product Lead and Product Placement Scientists.</li>
<li>Provide directions on needed testing environments, including possible cooperators, to Seeds Trialing team and Product Placement Scientists to get experimental data on all relevant environments within a given commercial region.</li>
<li>Provide local technical expertise with Product Leads to support decisions on production planning and pricing.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate highly technical information to growers, sales reps and accounts in a manner that is easily understandable.</li>
<li>Excellent computer/analytic skills in Windows including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.</li>
<li>Excellent ability to transform trials and data into collateral that will leverage sales with Syngenta Products Excellent interpersonal skills, especially those required to successfully function as part of a cross-functional team.</li>
