CAD Senior Platform Administrator

Goodyear seeks a CAD Senior Platform Administrator with 6+ years of experience managing CAD system infrastructure. Strong experience with CATIA is required. Responsibilities include system architecture, maintenance, troubleshooting, and end-user support. Hybrid role based in Hyderabad, India.

 The Goodyear Tire and Rubber company is seeking a motivated individual who will play a crucial role in in delivery and maintenance of an integrated CAD (Computer Aided Design) platform within our organization. You will work with a cross-functional, cross-continental group of mechanical, and IT engineers to support value creation in a global R&amp;D organization. Your responsibilities will cover system and infrastructure architecture, day-to-day maintenance, and the end-user support. Primary Responsibilities <ul><li>Work at the intersection of the operating system, servers, storage, and network to support CAD platform and troubleshoot issues. </li><li>Collaborate within cross-functional, cross-continental R&amp;D organization. </li><li>Maintain and patch existing systems. Plan and execute new installations and upgrades. </li><li>Coordinate infrastructure changes with internal and external partners. </li><li>Ensure the environment is secure and follows the organizational and industry standards. </li><li>Proactively monitor systems, driving consistent availability. </li><li>Maintain and enhance disaster recovery plans. </li><li>Explore new solutions, create value and increase customer satisfaction. </li><li>Regular work in CET time zone hours. Production-environment changes outside of the business working hours. </li></ul>
 Required Education and Experience <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science. </li><li>6-7 years of demonstrated experience managing CAD system infrastructure. </li><li>Strong experience with CAD system from the system administrator’s perspective (CATIA preferred). </li><li>Experience in one of the following domains would be an advantage: remote access systems, PLM infrastructure, AWS infrastructure, DevSecOps. </li></ul>
 Skills &amp; Abilities <ul><li>Operating systems (very good Windows Server and Windows client systems, basic Linux). </li><li>Good scripting skills (one of popular languages: PowerShell, bash or python). </li><li>Basic network and security skills. </li><li>Excellent planning and troubleshooting skills. </li><li>ITIL certification or similar. User-level experience with ticketing and monitoring systems. </li><li>Efficient communication and customer service skills. </li><li>Participate as an active team member, practice effective listening and effective collaboration skills. </li><li>Attention to detail and commitment to timely, high quality and error free deliverables. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment. </li><li>Proactive in managing issues and problems, comfortable with ambiguity. </li><li>Ability to present ideas and solutions in business-friendly and user-friendly language. </li><li>Guide and coordinate efforts of less experienced team members.</li></ul>
