Technical Lead, Engineering

As a Technical Lead, Engineering, you will manage a team of Engineering Directors & Engineering Managers, overseeing their hiring, coaching, and motivation. You will manage the budget for multiple development teams, aligning it with strategic business objectives. You will also build a cost-efficient and effective engineering organization by analyzing engineering processes, detecting operational gaps, and implementing improvements. You will support multiple PODs in delivering high-quality software in one or more adjacent product areas. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as Product and Customer Operations, will be crucial to ensure the successful delivery of software products. You will also be responsible for reporting on the status of organizational metrics.

What will you do? <ul><li>Manage a team of Engineering Directors &amp; Engineering Managers (hiring, coaching, motivating).</li><li>Managing the budget for multiple development teams, aligning this budget with strategic business objectives.</li><li>Build a cost-efficient, effective engineering organization, by analyzing engineering processes, detecting operational gaps, implementing improvements.</li><li>Support multiple PODs in delivering high-quality software in one or more adjacent product areas.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product and Customer Operations to ensure the successful delivery of software products.</li><li>Report on status of organizational metrics.</li></ul>
 What do you bring to the table? <ul><li>Strong people leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of managers and engineers. At least 6 years of experience in managerial positions.</li><li>The ability to clearly communicate and collaborate well with both technical and non-technical partners across multiple departments.</li><li>Combining profound business insights, critical thinking and problem solving skills to set strategic direction.</li><li>The ability to analyze, define and track key metrics, the ability to act upon these metrics and implement organizational and operational changes.</li><li>A strong technical background in software engineering, with at least 8 years of experience in the software product development industry.</li><li>Experience bringing innovative, industry-leading, category-defining tech products to market.</li><li>Experience with Agile methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle management processes.</li><li>Excellent prioritization and organizational skills, a track record of actively driving processes to deliver quality outcomes.</li><li>Good presentation, oral, and written communication skills.</li><li>Experience working with executive level internal and external clients/partners, acting as a representative of the company.</li><li>Experience with Cloud technologies, Microservices architecture, Application Programming Interfaces (API) and databases.</li><li>Experience in Java, TypeScript, Node, React, and Python.</li><li>Experience in developing software in a regulated environment is a plus.</li><li>Experience working in the clinical informatics, health care and life sciences domain is a plus.</li></ul>
