Volley is seeking a Senior Product Design Lead to drive the design of AI-powered games for various platforms, including Amazon Alexa, Roku TVs, and mobile devices. This role involves comprehensive user and market research, defining user journeys, and designing intuitive user interactions. Responsibilities include creating high-fidelity visual assets, defining animations, and developing voice interaction prototypes. The lead will also validate product usability, conduct pixel reviews, contribute code-level support, and mentor junior designers. Volley, a rapidly growing team, is headquartered in San Francisco and focuses on creating joyful games with evolving AI technology.

<h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800"><strong>What You’ll Do at Volley</strong></h3><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Perform market research, user research, and competitor analysis through development of user personas, interviews, observation, field studies, surveys, contextual inquiries, focus groups, and other user study methodologies using Xcode, Unity, React, and Android Studio.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Create and define the user journey, conduct affinity diagram, and host brainstorming to idealize the best practice for TV gaming experiences using Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer, Miro, and Figma.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Design user interaction to match user insights, technology feasibility, and business needs.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Use wireframes, storyboards, and prototypes to communicate how users play voice interaction games on TV and mobile.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Create high-fidelity and pixel-perfect TV game visual assets using Figma, Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Affinity Designer, Blender, etc.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Define meaningful multi-state animation and transitions for TV voice games by using Rive, Lottie, After Effects, Unity, and other animation creation tools.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Design voice interaction prototypes to demonstrate designs, help iterations, and validate ideas using Figma, Framer, JavaScript, React, Siri Shortcuts, Xcode, Android Studio, Apple Shortcuts, React, BrightScript, and other prototyping tools.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Validate product usability by conducting user testing, card sorting, interviews, A/B testing, surveys, etc.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Conduct pixel reviews, follow up product metrics, discover potential problems, and propose meaningful solutions.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Understand technology stacks and tools and provide code-level contributions, like defining animation in BrightScript, identifying UI components limitations, pulling projects from GitHub to verify UI specs, etc.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Mentor other product design peers, including Level 1 to 3 Product Designers, on conducting design critique, feedback, and iteration using Figma and Miro, and providing code-level support using Xcode, Android Studio, CSS, React, and Unity.</li></ul><p class="my-4 text-gray-700 leading-relaxed">May Telecommute</p><h3 class="text-xl md:text-2xl font-bold mt-8 mb-3 text-gray-800"><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong></h3><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Master’s (or foreign educ. equiv.) The final offer amount may depend on experience, education, skills, and location.
