Software Engineer II

Wave's mission is to unite humanity through immersive 3D entertainment, aiming to be the live entertainment hub of the metaverse. This Software Engineer II role involves developing game tools and technologies, the Wave client, performing code reviews, and identifying solutions for performance and architectural issues. The role requires strong C++ knowledge and experience in game development. Responsibilities <ul> <li>Work with other engineers to develop game tools and technologies</li> <li>Work with other engineers to develop the Wave client</li> <li>Perform code reviews</li> <li>Identify and provide solutions for performance and architectural issues</li> </ul> Required Qualifications <ul> <li>3+ years experience working in games</li> <li>Strong C++ knowledge</li> <li>Strong math foundation</li> <li>Experience with profiling and addressing performance and scale problems.</li> <li>Strong communication skills</li> <li>Unreal experience</li> </ul> Desired Qualifications <ul> <li>Experience working on AAA games</li> <li>Experience with audio programming</li> <li>Love of music and live performances</li> </ul> &nbsp; Salary Range:&nbsp;$90,000 - $130,000** &nbsp; **Salaries at Wave are based on a few factors including a candidate's location (to account for any cost of living differences), their experience level and their performance during the interview process. On top of a cash salary we also include company equity in the form of stock options with every full time offer as well as other benefits (insurance, 401k, unlimited PTO, laptop/desktop and other IT equipment as needed, subsidized monthly home internet, etc). Salary ranges at Wave are determined based on the job requirements, experience level and market data attained from compensation surveys.</div>
