Join a leading hotel group as a 12-month Fixed-term Reservations Manager at Novotel & Ibis Sydney on Darling Harbour. You will lead the Reservations team, focusing on creating exceptional guest stays. Responsibilities include supervising and training the team to maintain high service standards, managing the reservations system and rate structures to maximize occupancy, collaborating with revenue and operational teams, preparing forecasts, communicating booking concerns, adjusting room types and rates for revenue optimization, and assisting with rate strategy development. The role also involves working with the sales team and supporting sister properties.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented 12-month Fixed-term Reservations Manager to join our dynamic team at Novotel& Ibis Sydney on Darling Harbour. As a Reservations Manager, you will lead the Reservations team and play a critical role in creating the perfect stay for each and every one of our guests. You are a natural leader who thrives in a team environment and possess strong organisational and time management skills with an impeccable eye for detail.

Your key duties include:

  • Supervision, support and training of Reservations Team Members to ensure standards and procedures are observed to provide a consistent, high level of service for all guest contact
  • Ensure familiarity with the reservations system, all tiers of the rate structure, occupancy and Property features to maximise occupancy at every opportunity
  • Work closely with Director of Revenue and Operational teams on all aspects of revenue maximisation across all distribution channels
  • Prepare yearly forecasts of occupancy and revenue in conjunction with Management
  • Ensure open communication is provided to Reservations Team of any days where bookings may be a concern
  • Open and close room types, rates and allotments in order to maximise revenue and occupancy
  • Assist rate strategy, development and implementation to achieve property and Company goals.
  • Prepare and follow monthly objectives to increase occupancy and revenue
  • Working alongside Sales team and ensure clear communication between teams
  • Providing additional support and ad hoc basis to our sister properties, when needed

Qualifications

  • Previous Reservations leadership experience in the hotel industry is highly desirable
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and fast paced environment
  • Strong computer and systems skills preferably in Opera Cloud
  • An uncompromising commitment to providing an exceptional experience for our guests
  • Positive energy, eye for attention to detail and strong drive for results
  • Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, problem solving and networking skills
  • Natural leadership skills with demonstrated results in developing and motivating teams
