 About the role
As a Senior QA Engineer in the Central Platform team, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining our quality assurance frameworks, actively contributing to the delivery of team goals and features. You will own and design test automation and efficiency tools for our QA and Product teams. You’ll partner with our QA and Development leaders to identify the best opportunities and technology for our projects and contribute towards the architecture and tests suite to reach our quality assurance goals.&nbsp; This role offers opportunities for growth, research &amp; innovation, and having your ideas heard and making a meaningful impact.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful
<ul>
<li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Proficiency in programming languages (JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Python) and experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular) and Node.js.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Contribution to building or extending automation frameworks using libraries such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium WebDriver.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Knowledge of AWS cloud services, including S3, EC2, and messaging services.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Familiarity with RDBMS such as Postgres, preferably with the ability to write SQL queries. Familiarity with MongoDB Atlas would be an asset.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Strong understanding of API contract testing.</li>
<li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Good understanding of Linux environment and CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).</li>
<li style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva, sans-serif;">Experience working with infrastructure, DevOps, and orchestration tools like Terraform &amp; Terragrunt would be a plus.</li>

Unity Game Engine

The Escapist seeks freelance writers to expand its celebrity news coverage. This fully remote contract position requires excellent English writing skills, an eagerness to learn, and the ability to meet deadlines.  Candidates should be self-starters who can pitch trending ideas and possess strong celebrity knowledge. Responsibilities include writing articles on celebrity news and incorporating feedback.  Pay is $15-$75 USD per article, depending on length and type, with potential variation for international candidates.  Successful applicants must submit a resume, cover letter, and two writing samples demonstrating their abilities.
