Hatchery Games is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join their team and improve the gaming experience of Voidling Bound, a third-person shooter developed on Unreal Engine 5. The role involves daily bug reporting, managing the bug database, tracking community issues, and collaborating with game design and programming teams. The ideal candidate will be independent and motivated, playing a key role in the success of the project within a small, collaborative independent studio.

<h4 class="text-lg md:text-xl font-semibold mt-6 mb-2 text-gray-800">Contractual - 1 year</h4>Description-----------Hatchery Games is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team and improve the gaming experience of Voidling Bound, a third-person shooter set in a science-fiction universe and developed on Unreal Engine 5. The player controls unique creatures that they can upgrade, evolve, and customize throughout their adventure.We are an independent studio of about ten people, located in the heart of the Saint-Roch district in Quebec City. Each team member collaborates closely to create the best possible gaming experience in a healthy and respectful work environment. In a small team like ours, each member plays a decisive role in the success of the project. Everyone benefits from great autonomy and freedom to contribute significantly to the game's vision.As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for reporting daily bugs. You will also be responsible for listing and following up on problems reported by the community.Responsibilities----------------<ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Test the game to detect bugs.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Report detected bugs in Jira in English.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Manage the bug database, classify and prioritize listed bugs.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">List and follow up on problems reported by the community.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Supervise and communicate with external quality assurance teams (if applicable).</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Work closely with the game design and programming team.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Create video captures to present game mechanics and for promotional content (marketing).</li></ul>Required Qualifications-----------------------<ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Experience with Jira bug management software.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Good communication skills in English and French. (Written and spoken)</li><li class="leading-relaxed">A strong interest in the video game field.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Minimum of 5 years of experience in the industry as a game tester.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Knowledge of Unreal Engine is a plus.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Independent and motivated.</li></ul>
