VFX Coordinator

This Lead Compositor role involves working in an agile team to establish and deliver the final look of films, collaborating closely with the VFX supervisor and other creatives. The role requires hands-on compositing, creating technical solutions and workflows, mentoring the team, and monitoring deliveries. A key aspect is exploring and implementing the latest AI solutions like depth/relight, smart mattes, and Gaussian splats, and publishing procedural, modular tools.

You will work closely with the VFX supervisor and other film creatives and HoDs, to establish and deliver the final look of the film. As Compositing Supervisor you lead the final look and compositing solutions. You will be hands-on in any necessary software. Create technical solutions and workflows. To make sure that our technical approach maintains the expected look and quality of the film. You will	mentor and guide the team. Monitor shots and delivery. You will explore new (often unconventional) methods, research and implement the latest	AI solutions—depth/relight, smart mattes, Wan 2.5 Animate, Gaussian splats.	You will be required to publish procedural, modular tools others rely on.</p><h4 class="text-lg md:text-xl font-semibold mt-6 mb-2 text-gray-800"><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></h4><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Composite complex/hero shots in Nuke (or any nessesary software) to final.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Match live-action plates: lighting, perspective, grain, lens, and timing.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Use clean plate and restoration skills for paint/roto/fixes.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Build robust Nuke templates and tools for reuse across sequences.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Work with Supervisors to plan bids, schedules, and reviews.</li></ul><h4 class="text-lg md:text-xl font-semibold mt-6 mb-2 text-gray-800"><strong>Future-thinking & Hands-on.</strong></h4><ul class="list-disc list-inside my-5 pl-5 space-y-2 text-gray-700"><li class="leading-relaxed">Use <strong>ML/automation in comp</strong> where it helps: Nuke CopyCat, smart roto, Comfi UI depth/relight aids.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Contribute procedural, <strong>modular scripts</strong> and gizmos that other artists can pick up.</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Help us evaluate new tools (e.g., depth estimation, matte generation, denoise/upscale).</li><li class="leading-relaxed">Aim for <strong>one-change-many-shots</strong> workflows.
