Submarine is looking for a research and production intern for a minimum of 5 months.  The intern will assist with various tasks, including supporting subsidy applications, preparing for filming days, assisting in the development of new documentary plans, providing production support, conducting research, preparing recordings, registering for film festivals, and handling daily office tasks.  The internship offers hands-on experience in documentary filmmaking, with opportunities for personal and professional development.  The company is looking for someone who is broadly interested, has an affinity for documentaries, is strong in communication, driven, creative, solution-oriented, stress-resistant, flexible, and proactive. Experience in journalism and/or media studies is a plus. A good command of the English and Dutch languages is important.

Voor streamers als Amazon Prime en Netflix, maar ook voor Nederlandse en buitenlandse omroepen als KRO-NCRV, AVROTROS, ZDF, ARTE en Channel 4. Locatie Amsterdam STAGE: Omschrijving Op dit moment zijn er verschillende nieuwe projecten in ontwikkeling en in productie. Daarom zijn wij op zoek naar een research- en productiestagiair(e) die voor een periode van minimaal 5 maanden het team kan komen versterken. Periode Start stage: 1 september 2025 Eind stage: 30 januari 2026 Duur: minimaal 5 maanden Functie-eisen/profiel We zijn op zoek naar een stagiaire die breed geïnteresseerd is, affiniteit heeft met met documentaires, communicatief sterk is, gedreven is en houd van aanpakken. Je moet creatief én oplossingsgericht kunnen denken, stressbestendig, flexibel en proactief zijn en eigen initiatieven durven te nemen. Ervaring met journalistiek en/of mediastudies is een pré. Ook is een goede beheersing van de Engelse en Nederlandse taal belangrijk. Opleiding: HBO of WO Maandelijkse vergoeding: €300 (op basis van een fulltime stage) Uren: 32-40 uur per week Documentaire – Productiestage Als research- en productiestagiair(e) neem je o.a. de rol aan van productieassistent. Het is de uitgelezen kans om veel ervaring op te doen bij uiteenlopende projecten, van subsidieaanvragen en festivalaanmeldingen tot de voorbereiding van draaidagen en postproductie. Daarnaast houd je je bezig met allerlei werkzaamheden die bij de ontwikkelingsfase van filmproductie komen kijken. Je assisteert bijvoorbeeld bij research voor documentaires in ontwikkeling, denkt mee over potentiële nieuwe plannen en helpt bij subsidieaanvragen. Naast deze werkzaamheden zal je ook de lopende producties ondersteunen, door onder andere te helpen met het voorbereiden van draaidagen. De werkzaamheden zijn gevarieerd en houden onder andere de volgende taken in: • Ondersteuning bij subsidieaanvragen • Assisteren bij voorbereidingen draaidagen • Ondersteuning bij de ontwikkeling van nieuwe documentaireplannen • Productionele ondersteuning • Researchwerkzaamheden • Het voorbereiden van opnames en het ordenen en uitwerken van opnames ten behoeve van de montage • Inschrijvingen bij filmfestivals • Dagelijkse taken op kantoor Het is een hands-on stage waar je alles leert over het maken van een documentaire, met ruimte voor je eigen initiatieven en doelen. Je wordt echt onderdeel van ons productieteam! Met de hulp van je stagebegeleider stel je je eigen leerdoelen op voor jouw persoonlijke en professionele ontwikkeling.
