Your role within our Kingdom
We are looking for extraordinarily skilled interns from a variety of backgrounds and interests to join our Kingdom!
The Platform Security team integrates security within the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and ensures the security of our platform. As part of this, we generate vast amounts of security-related data, which needs to be analyzed, structured, and visualized to extract meaningful insights.
As a Platform Security Data Intern, you will work with data generated from security pipelines, security scans, and automation tools. You will be responsible for processing, analyzing, and visualizing security data to provide actionable insights for improving security posture, optimizing processes, and measuring key security metrics. You will collaborate closely with security engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to build dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions that support the security team’s mission.Platform Security Data Intern
You will take part in tasks such as:
- Working with security data, structuring and analyzing large datasets from security tools, logs, and automation pipelines.
- Creating dashboards and reports to visualize security metrics and trends, making it easy for stakeholders to understand and act upon the insights.
- Identifying patterns and trends in security data that can help optimize security processes and enhance efficiency.
- Translating security and business requirements into analytical models and automation workflows.
- Supporting the team with ad-hoc data-driven projects related to security monitoring and reporting.
- Contributing to automation efforts by designing scripts and tools for processing security data.
You are enthusiastic about the intersection of data analytics and cybersecurity and have experience working with data to solve real-world problems.
You should have:
- A strong foundation in data analysis, statistics, or machine learning.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, or SQL for data processing and analysis.
- Experience working with data visualization tools such as Looker or similar platforms.
- The ability to handle datasets and extract meaningful insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
- The ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Interest in cybersecurity concepts and an eagerness to learn about security.
- Exposure to cloud-based security solutions and infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with SDLC security principles and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with automation frameworks and scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).
