Role Description

Are you passionate about bringing digital worlds to life through captivating animations? Join our team as a 2D Animator and play a crucial role in creating immersive gaming experiences. As a valued member of our creative team, you will collaborate closely with Art Leads, Game Designers, and Developers to craft high-quality animations across all aspects of our games.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Spine to create compelling storyboards and animations, enriching characters, backgrounds, symbols, and visual effects.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and seamlessly integrate animations into the game.
• Solicit feedback from art/animation leads and directors, supporting them to meet project demands and exceed expectations.
• Assist developers throughout the game development process, ensuring smooth execution of animations.
• Take ownership of your professional development, actively seeking opportunities to grow and learn.
• Mentor junior team members, leveraging your experience to guide and inspire.
• Generate concepts and mock-ups to facilitate decision-making processes.
• Optimize assets to enhance game performance and player experience.
• Design resource-efficient animations tailored for optimal performance on mobile devices.
• Communicate effectively within a team environment, contributing to a collaborative and innovative atmosphere.
• Demonstrate a commitment to elevating animation in video games, striving for unparalleled believability.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the slot industry, with a solid understanding of slot game mechanics.
• Proficiency in Spine 2D skeletal animation, with knowledge of Adobe software, including Photoshop and After Effects.
• Familiarity with compiling animations for seamless integration into game pipelines.
• Diverse showreel showcasing expertise in character animation, visual effects, and storytelling.
• Strong grasp of animation principles such as key poses, squash and stretch, anticipation, and follow-through.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Flexibility to adapt animations to match existing styles and guidelines set by Art Leads and Art Director.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, open to constructive criticism and feedback.
