2D Concept Artist (Temp Contract)

Youtooz designs and produces collectible toys that bring to life characters from iconic film and TV franchises, along with popular internet personalities. Our mission is to bring the personalities and characters you love into your everyday life—whether on your desk at work, your bedroom shelf, or your living room for everyone to see. Youtooz are incredibly personal and unique to each character and customer and comes with a variety of unique perks.

As a 2D Concept Artist at Youtooz, you will take the Youtooz world and bring it to life. You'll be responsible for taking an idea and turning it into a Youtooz product all the way from ideation to a finished design. This role is a two month temporary contract position to cover a parental leave, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to our creative team during this period.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in concept art, character design, or a related field
• Degree in 2D animation, character design, concept art or a related discipline
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to quickly create and execute concepts
• Knowledge of 2D programs such as Photoshop, ProCreate, Sketchbook, or other drawing software
• Knowledge of 2D practices such as creating silhouettes, proportions, anatomy, expression, and any other concept related practice
• Motivated team player that can work quickly in a deadline-driven environment
  
  

Bonus Points

• Knowledge of the pantone library
• 3D modelling experience or any related work such as 3D printing
• Traditional experience, painting, sculpting, or drawing.
