We are seeking a skilled and creative 3D Artist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping the visual aesthetics of our games, contributing to both the creation of captivating environments and supporting user-generated content initiatives.

As a 3D Artist at Sawhorse Productions, you will be an integral part of our artistic team, responsible for creating visually stunning 3D assets that enhance the overall quality of our games. The ideal candidate has a passion for gaming, a strong foundation in 3D art, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring our creative vision to life.

Responsibilities:

3D Asset Creation:

• Design and produce high-quality 3D assets, including props and other assets in different themes in line with the artistic direction of the projects.

• Ensure that all assets meet technical and performance requirements while maintaining visual excellence.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with Art Directors, Art Managers, Game Designers and other team members to understand project requirements and deliver within expectations.

• Collaborate effectively within cross-disciplinary teams to integrate 3D assets seamlessly into the game environment.

• Communicate efficiently with the team members to guarantee assets and projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Texturing and Shading:

• Apply texturing and shading techniques to enhance the visual appeal of the 3D models while keeping organized UVs and texture maps.

• Collaborate with the art team to maintain a consistent and cohesive art style throughout the game.

Optimization:

• Optimize 3D assets for performance, ensuring efficient use of resources without compromising visual fidelity.

• Collaborate with technical teams to implement and troubleshoot assets within the game engine.

Feedback and Iteration:

• Actively participate in critiques and provide/receive constructive feedback to improve the quality of 3D assets.

• Iterate on designs based on feedback and artistic direction.
