3D CAD & DESIGN ENGINEER

Working Model / Location: On site / St Helens

Salary + Benefits: £30-40k DOE

Are you an experienced 3D CAD Engineer that has worked in a fast pace Manufacturing environment?

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with project man******rs and engineering teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Utilize CAD software to create detailed designs, schematics, and technical drawings for custom electrical switchgear.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and performance evaluations to ensure designs meet technical specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to translate design concepts into practical solutions, optimizing for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide technical support during the manufacturing process, addressing any design-related issues and implementing necessary modifications.
  • Participate in design reviews, offering insights and recommendations to enhance product performance and reliability.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and product offerings.

Experience Required

  • HND in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience working as a CAD & Design Engineer in the field of electrical switchgear design or similar industries.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Preferably SolidWorks) and other design tools.
  • Strong understanding of electrical principles, schematics, and components.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to electrical switchgear design (e.g., ANSI, IEC) is ******
