Job Description

This role involves creating and maintaining rigging systems for 3D characters, props, and environments in games. Responsibilities include building skeletons and controllers for efficient animation, performing skinning for natural deformation, developing rigging systems for expressions and body animation, collaborating with other artists to solve technical challenges, and optimizing rigging processes for increased efficiency. Proficiency in 3D software (Maya or Blender), skinning techniques, and scripting (Python or MEL) is essential. Experience with AAA games or animation projects is a plus.

  • Understanding of human/animal anatomy

仕事内容

1.  3Dキャラクター、プロップ、環境オブジェクトのスケルトンおよびコントローラーの作成、アニメーターが効率的に操作できるようにする。

2.  スキニング処理を行い、モデルが動作時に自然に変形するようにする。

3.  キャラクターの表情や身体アニメーション用のリグシステムの開発と保守。

4.  モデラー、アニメーター、テクニカルアーティストと密接に連携し、アニメーションプロセスにおける技術的課題を解決する。

5.  リギングプロセスの最適化と改善を行い、アニメーション制作の効率を向上

Job Responsibilities

1.  Create skeletons and controllers for 3D characters, props, and environmental objects, ensuring they are efficient for animators to operate.

2.  Perform skinning and ensure models deform naturally during motion.

3.  Develop and maintain rigging systems for character expressions and body animations.

4.  Collaborate closely with modelers, animators, and technical artists to solve technical challenges in the animation process.

5.  Optimize and improve the rigging process to enhance the efficiency of animation production.

応募資格/Who We Look For

応募条件

1.  3Dキャラクターのリギング経験があり、MayaやBlenderなどの3Dソフトウェアの使用に熟練していること。

2.  スキニング技術とウェイト調整に精通し、複雑なキャラクターリグの要件に対応できること。

3.  基本的なPythonまたはMELスクリプトの作成能力があり、ツール開発やプロセスの自動化ができること。

4.  人体および動物の解剖学的構造を理解し、様々なタイプのキャラクターに適したスケルトンシステムを作成できること。

5.  優れたチームワーク能力があり、部門を超えたチームで効果的にコミュニケーションが取れること。

6.  AAAゲームまたはアニメーションプロジェクトの経験がある方は優遇。

Job Requirements

1.  Experience in 3D character rigging and proficiency in 3D software such as Maya or Blender.

2.  Expertise in skinning techniques and weight painting, with the ability to handle the requirements of complex character rigs.

3.  Basic knowledge of Python or MEL scripting, with the ability to develop tools and automate processes.

4.  Understanding of human and animal anatomy, with the ability to create skeleton systems suitable for various types of characters.

5.  Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in cross-department teams.

6.  Experience with AAA games or animation projects is a plus.
