Job Title 3D Environment Artist – Games and Simulations
Location Kollam, Kerala Required Number 1 Qualification A degree or certification in 3D Modeling, Game Design, Animation, or related fields Job Description We are seeking a talented 3D Environment Artist to create immersive environments for games and simulations. In this role, you'll collaborate with designers and developers to design 3D worlds that enhance user experience and align with the project’s creative vision. You'll build realistic, stylized, or futuristic settings to engage learners or players. Key Responsibilities
- Design, model, and texture 3D environments for games and simulations, ensuring they meet the project’s style and technical needs.
- Work closely with game and instructional designers, and developers to create visually appealing, interactive environments.
- Optimize 3D assets for performance while maintaining high visual quality.
- Implement environmental lighting, atmospheric effects, and post-processing to enhance realism and immersion.
- Review and iterate based on feedback to refine environments throughout development.
- Ensure environments are cohesive and interact seamlessly with characters and objects in the simulation or game.
Qualifications
- Entry-level or experienced candidates are welcome to apply. Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max) and texturing tools (e.g., Substance Painter, Photoshop).
- Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and environmental storytelling.
- Familiarity with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Ability to work within technical constraints and optimize for performance.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- A portfolio showcasing 3D environment work is required.
Education A degree or certification in 3D Modeling, Game Design, Animation, or related fields is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates with a strong portfolio.
