Job Description

This role is for an experienced AbInitio Developer in the Risk Domain. The position involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications using AbInitio software (GDE, Control Center, Continuous Flows, EME, M-HUB). Responsibilities include preparing deployment scripts, troubleshooting production applications, performance tuning, interacting with stakeholders, and mentoring junior developers. The platform operates 24/7 and supports teams in Sydney, undergoing constant change to serve various business stakeholders. The team focuses on Engineering Governance, Continuous Delivery, and cloud/payment-based architecture simplification. Experience with Oracle, MS SQL, Unix/Linux, and Agile methodologies (Jira) is required.

Must have:

4-7 years AbInitio development experience
Proficient in AbInitio (GDE, Control Center)
Experience in design, development, testing, deployment
Oracle, MS SQL, Unix/Linux expertise
Agile project experience and Jira familiarity
Good stakeholder management skills

Good to have:

AbInitio M-HUB experience
Excellent communication & analytical skills

Project description

The project is in Risk Domain which is supported by the IT team. The platform operates 24/7 supporting teams in Sydney. The platform undergoes constant change as it provides services to a number of business stakeholders.

Our team is composed of engineers and technology leaders, who bring in the right mix of skills to enable this transformation. We also work very closely with our business and operations colleagues to support these services which are critical to the Australian and Global economy.

Our team is also responsible also to drive Engineering Governance, Continuous Delivery, and key technological simplification pillars such as Cloud and Payments Event based architecture

Responsibilities

Seeking an experienced AbInitio developer with the following responsibilities:

Design, Development, Analysis, and Testing applications using AbInitio software products

Preparation of deployment, deployment, and configuration scripts within the delivery channel including production

Troubleshooting and second-line support of Production application

Performance tuning and code optimization

Interact with key stakeholders (technical/functional) to explain change impacts

Assist tester(s) in performing the validations & verifications

Mentoring junior developers

Skills

Must have

Minimum 4 to 7 years of experience working as an AbInitio developer in data-driven / warehousing projects

Proven track record of delivery using AbInitio software:

Proficient in using the AbInitio development products = GDE, Control Center, Continuous Flows, EME, M-HUB (nice to have)

Experience in Design, Development, Testing, and Deployment of the software code

Experience interacting with client stakeholders, data provider stakeholders

Good level of expertise in Oracle, MS SQL, and Unix/Linux

Good stakeholder management, coordination & collaboration skills

Good experience working on Agile projects & familiarity with JIRA

Self-starter, highly motivated, and complete ownership from design to deployment

Creative/innovative thinker

Nice to have

Very good communication & analytical skills
