Job Description

As an Account Executive at Aspire, you will be responsible for driving growth through direct business by building relationships with prospective clients and assisting them in achieving success through our solutions. You will collaborate with the Head of Sales to build and manage your sales pipeline and close deals, focusing on SMEs. The role involves taking ownership of new business and revenue generation through direct selling. The responsibilities include understanding client needs, presenting solutions, and achieving consistent results.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 6+ years selling payments, cards, and FX to SMBs
  • Familiarity in e-Commerce, marketplaces, and talent platforms
  • Exposure to B2B payments, corporate cards, or fintech
  • Experience with HubSpot or other CRM systems
  • Ability to build relationships with strategic clients
  • Growth mindset with confidence and humility
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-driven and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Possesses analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills

About the Role:

As our Account Executive, you will drive Aspire’s growth through direct business, by building relationships with prospective clients and helping them find success through our solutions. Working closely with the the Head of Sales, you will build and own your pipeline and close deals. You will take ownership of the new business and revenue across direct selling. You will focus on SME with the aim of achieving quick - and consistent - results.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 6+ years of work experience selling payments, cards and FX to SMBs, ideally with experience in fintech.
  • Familiarity in e-Commerce, marketplaces, and talent platforms
  • Exposure to B2B payments, corporate cards, or other fintech
  • Experience with HubSpot (preferred) or other CRM systems
  • Ability to build relationships with strategic clients and industry stakeholders
  • A growth mindset coupled with both confidence and humility
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies, e.g. SPIN, MEDDIC, Challenger
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with multiple stakeholders across teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and dealing with ambiguity
  • Self-driven to deliver, with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Possesses analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in payment, banking, financial, consulting companies
  • Proven record of success
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English

  2. You’re curious & eager to learn - A natural and genuine interest in understanding your prospect and their processes, combined with a continuous learning mindset in regards to the market and the product; the most successful BDRs in Aspire have these qualities in spades.
  3. You’re articulate - We’re looking for an effective communicator. Someone who listens, structures their message, and delivers it in an impeccable manner.
  4. You’re methodical & organized - A BDR would have multiple sequences running in parallel, s/he would take part in various mini-projects/battles, while keeping an eye on key deals. If you have problems with prioritization, you could easily feel overwhelmed.
  5. You have high work ethics - You’re in sales. You have targets. Grit is a must.
