Job Description

Gaming Innovation Group is seeking a skilled Finance Executive to join their dynamic finance team. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records in compliance with Spanish GAAP, ensuring timely month-end close, and assisting in the preparation of annual accounts and tax filings. The executive will also be responsible for payroll reconciliation, statutory audits, intercompany transactions, process improvement, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English, with at least three years of experience in accounting, preferably within a multinational or gaming industry. The role requires a proactive individual who can work both independently and as part of a team to enhance financial processes and ensure accuracy.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Spanish GAAP.
  • Knowledge of taxation and audit requirements.
  • Familiarity with payroll accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
Good to have:
  • Experience working in a cost center environment.
  • Familiarity with the gaming industry.
  • Knowledge of IFRS is a plus.

We are on the lookout for a skilled Finance Executive to join our dynamic finance team. This role is pivotal in supporting our financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of our financial reporting.

  • Financial Accounting & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with Spanish GAAP and company policies.
    • Ensure all intercompany recharge transactions are correctly recorded and reconciled.
    • Ensure timely and accurate month-end close, demonstrating full ownership of company financials
  • Payroll Reconciliation & Verification:
    • Review payroll reports from the outsourced payroll provider.
    • Ensure payroll entries are accurately recorded in the general ledger.
    • Perform reconciliations to verify payroll expenses align with the company's financial records.
  • Statutory Audits & Compliance:
    • Assist in the preparation of annual accounts and ensure timely filing
    • Support audit requests by gathering relevant documentation and liaising with external auditors.
    • Ensure compliance with local regulatory and tax requirements.
  • Taxation & Compliance:
    • Assist in the preparation and submission of corporate tax, VAT, and other relevant tax filings.
    • Monitor changes in Spanish tax regulations and ensure compliance.
    • Support the Finance team in tax audits and inquiries.
  • Intercompany Transactions:
    • Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of intercompany transactions.
    • Work closely with other Group entities to resolve discrepancies.

 

  • Process Improvement & Internal Controls:
    • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls.
    • Support the implementation of best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within a multinational or gaming industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Spanish GAAP, taxation, and statutory audit requirements.
  • Familiarity with payroll accounting and reconciliation processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a cost center environment.
  • Familiarity with the gaming industry and its regulatory environment.
  • Knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
