This Account Manager role focuses on managing partner success within QuinStreet’s real-time performance acquisition platform, deepening partnerships within clicks, calls, and lead products. Responsibilities include managing clients, analyzing data for insights, managing third-party media relationships, identifying client needs, planning analyses, collaborating with internal teams, advising executives, being the point of contact for new setups, providing thought leadership, evaluating processes, and managing reconciliations. This role requires someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to prioritize multiple projects.
Must have:
  • 2+ years of client management experience, preferably in financial services or online marketing.
  • Comfortable with numbers and proficient in Excel for data analysis.
  • Understanding of web metrics and online pricing structures.
Good to have:
  • Experience with business intelligence/data visualization tools like Tableau.
  • Solid grasp of best practices in online performance marketing.
  • Project management and team leadership skills.

Job Category 

This role will facilitate our Insurance category’s fast growth and enable us to both uphold and expand our client/media relationships. As a key member of the insurance category team, this position will focus on managing partner success within QuinStreet’s industry leading vertical specific real time performance acquisition platform (QMP) to deepen partnerships within our clicks, calls, and lead products. It requires an individual that will be very analytical, detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines. This role will also involve working on processes with internal teams and managing third-party media communications. We are looking for someone who is whip smart, able to execute, and has an optimistic, work-hard play-hard mentality. Role can be remote. 

  

Responsibilities 

  • Ongoing direct operational management and P&L responsibilities for a set of clients, including setting and managing expectations proactively 
  • Access and analyze significant amounts of data to identify trends and/or patterns which lead to specific insights about client marketing programs 
  • Manage and own third-party media relationships and responsible for their growth. 
  • Continually work to identify unfulfilled client needs and develop & sell products & services to meet those needs 
  • Plan and execute complex analyses for client estimation and forecasting with high degree of predictability 
  • Work closely with other internal teams to get tasks and projects completed 
  • Collaborate with, and advise, company executives on client initiatives, annual budget planning, marketing strategies, and best practices 
  • Be the point of contact for all new set-ups requested by the internal team or external parties and following through to completion.  
  • Provide thought leadership in developing new, innovative marketing practices 
  • Potential to have direct reports and manage an account team. 
  • Evaluate current processes and continually looking for ways to improve them 
  • Track best practices and document processes when required 
  • Leverage internal technology and industry-standard tools to understand compliance requirements and recommend remediation solutions across various media channels 
  • Management of monthly product reconciliations and client billings 
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed. 

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or related 
  • 2+ years of experience in client management in financial services, or online marketing with P&C Insurance experience highly preferred. 
  • Must be extremely comfortable with numbers and highly proficient in Excel to analyze data 
  • Prior experience with business intelligence/data visualization tools such as Tableau preferred 
  • Must be able to grasp the key drivers of the business, be comfortable with multi-tasking and can independently prioritize tasks given business drivers 
  • Solid understanding of web metrics, online pricing structures (CPM, CPC, CPA, etc.) and how they impact the profitability of a business 
  • Good grasp of best practices in online performance marketing 
  • Ability to travel periodically for client visits and conferences 
  • Solid project management and team leadership skills 
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, team environment 
  • Outstanding analytical skills and rigor, excellent at complex problem-solving 

The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 USD to $100,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. The salary may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.  The position is also eligible to receive performance bonus or commission and equity in the form of restricted stock units. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits; (2) retirement benefits; (3) the number of paid days off (paid sick leave, parental leave, paid time off, or vacation benefits); (4) any other tax-reportable benefits.
