Job Description

As an Account Strategist at Google Customer Solutions (GCS), you'll be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive digital advertising strategies for medium-sized businesses in Taiwan. You'll work closely with clients, understanding their growth drivers and creating multi-quarter plans to achieve their goals. This involves identifying opportunities, managing risks, and collaborating with the sales team to ensure accountability and exceed targets. You will also build strong client relationships, offer performance-enhancing suggestions, and promote other Google products. Your responsibilities include identifying key stakeholders, assessing and solving customer needs, conducting outbound calls to generate growth, and managing a portfolio of clients. The role demands strategic thinking, strong communication skills (English and Mandarin fluency is essential), and data analysis abilities to deliver outstanding customer experiences and measurable business results.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in advertising, sales, marketing, or media
  • Fluent English and Mandarin communication
  • Client relationship management
  • Strategic planning and execution
  • Data analysis and insights generation
Good to have:
  • Experience with C-level stakeholder engagement
  • Consulting, entrepreneurship, or digital marketing experience
  • Experience in managing multiple projects
  • Proven ability to drive growth in advertising/media sales

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, sales, marketing, consulting, or media.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to interact in this customer-facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and competitive selling.
  • Experience working with and communicating effectively with advertisers, agencies, or clients and influencing C-level stakeholders.
  • Experience in consulting, entrepreneurship, or digital marketing executing short to long-term strategies, and ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally to deliver impact.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context, and consistently drive growth.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with prioritization mindset while paying attention to detail.
  • Ability to leverage data to derive actionable insights and to support proposals.

The Engage team is a sales team designed to grow small and medium-sized businesses in Taiwan with significant expansion potential. Engage Account Strategists who will be a trusted advisor and partner to a portfolio of key clients.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive digital advertising strategies that drive measurable business results for our clients. You will operate in a changing environment, reaching for ambitious business and productivity goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of medium-sized businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks and creating multi-quarter plans for achievement.
  • Collaborate within the sales team, align workflow among team members to execute on a plan and ensure accountability to meet or exceed goals while delivering outstanding customer experience.
  • Implement creative ways to improve customer relationships, tailor and share performance-enhancing suggestions and promote other Google products.
  • Identify key customer stakeholders, including C-level and business owners, to support customer business objectives and annual digital marketing plans. Assess and solve customer needs via various techniques.
  • Conduct outbound calls to establish relationships and work with existing Google Ads customers to generate growth and improved customer success.
