Job Description

The Account Strategist at Google Customer Solutions (GCS) works with businesses to develop and implement Google Ads strategies. Responsibilities include delivering against ambitious growth targets, building client relationships, conducting sales consultations, owning a portfolio of small businesses, understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities, managing risks, and creating quarterly plans. The role requires fluency in Portuguese and English to support client management in the specified region. Success involves driving customer growth, delivering outstanding customer experiences, and achieving customer business and marketing objectives. This role involves working with small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to help them grow using Google's advertising solutions.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in advertising, sales, marketing, consulting, or media
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English
  • Deliver against ambitious growth targets
  • Build and maintain client relationships
Good to have:
  • Google Ads and online advertising knowledge
  • Google Digital Workshop certification
  • Portfolio in advertising/media sales in Portugal
  • Consistent quota overachievement
  • Strong storytelling and narrative building skills

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, sales, marketing, consulting, or media.
  • Ability to communicate in Portuguese and English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Google Ads and online advertising, with Google Digital Workshop certification or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in Portugal, and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally to deliver impact.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at a time while paying attention to details.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business and product growth targets.
  • Establish relationships via phone calls or e-mail marketing and conduct regular phone consultations and sales pitches with clients to advise them on how to get the best return on their Google Ads investment.
  • Own a portfolio of small businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers identifying opportunities for growth, manage risks and build quarterly plans for achievement.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer sales experience, and achieve customer business and marketing objectives.
